 Introducing our new 2000w Portable Solar Generator System we are calling "Basecamp 2K" Because its powerful enough to power a small base camp in a off grid or grid down situation when used with energy efficient appliances. This system is very flexible and can be sized up or down to meet the power needs of just about any situation. Simply add solar panels to decrease recharge times and add LFP 180 battery modules to increase power storage capacity. 

This system allows you to power just about any device you would normally plug into the standard 120v wall power socket at your home or office. The only difference is the AC power will be generated from either Sunlight, Wind, or Hydro Power instead the power company who generates electricity via non renewable resources like coal or nuclear power. We like to use solar panels to generate power because the sun is abundant and today's solar panels do a really good job of turning sunlight into electricity for a reasonable price.

This system is using all the latest technology to efficiently turn sunlight into electricity. The harvested power can be used to power all your most important electronics & appliances while off grid or during any emergency situation like Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, or many other natural or man made disasters. 

A lot of the people we talk with want to be able to power their fridge/freezers if the power goes out, or run their microwave to quickly cook some food as need. To keep a normal house fridge running for 24 hours or run a microwave at full power your going to need a system that can provide Pure Sinewave AC Power & at least 1800 watts of AC power to handle the large start up current of most refrigerators. If you try to run a microwave on a non Pure Sinewave power you will notice that it takes 200-300% longer to cook food, plus the microwave will sound funny while operating. 

 Our system provides the same or better power than your receive from the power company so all your normal equipment will run without issues. Pure Sinewave power inverters are more expensive compared to non Pure Sinewave inverters since they require more more advanced electronics to manufacture. The base camp is using a top of the line Pure Sine wave inverter that can supply 1800 watts continuous, 2000 watts for 5 Min's max, and has a maximum surge power rating of 3000 watts to start most of your larger appliances, especially those with large electric motors.

This system is using the latest and most efficient renewable energy regulation technology on the market called MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking). Maximum Power Point Tracking ensures you harvest the absolute maximum amount of power from the Sun, Wind, or Hydro energy power sources. Our solar/wind/hydro regulator will harvest more power over the course of the day than any other system on the market under the same conditions. 

You are getting the best technology and equipment with this system which means you will have more useable power over the course of the day when compared to any other system in this class using different technology. Our solar/wind/hydro regulator has a big beautiful digital display that shows you exactly how much power you are harvesting in real time and it also logs this info every 10 Min's so you can go back and view the a graph of how the system performed over the course of the day, week, or month which is really cool.

This system can handle a continuous 1100 watts of renewable energy input form sources up to 150v DC. This system can handle 10 or more of the pictured 120w folding solar panels on a good sunny day to power equipment directly from sunlight or to charge the connected battery modules so you can use the power anytime in the future. 1100 watts of solar panels would recharge our LFP 180 Battery (2.3kwH's) in approx 2.5 hours which is really quick for such a large battery. 5 solar panels would take 5 hours to recharge the same battery. 2 panels would take approx 10-11 hours to recharge a single LFP 180 Battery.

This system has a built in 90 Amp/1500 watt AC battery charger to recharge the batteries that are attached to the MCM 2.0 (Master Control Module. The 90 Amp AC charger is powerful enough to recharge one LFP 180 Battery Pack in approx 2.5 hours. If there is no Solar/Wind/Hydro power source available to recharge the batteries then you can run a cord from a Gasoline Powered generator to the AC Charger input port on the MCM 2.0 to quickly recharge the battery or batteries. After you quickly recharge the batteries you can turn off the gasoline generator and pull power from the Basecamp 2K silently without the fumes inefficiency of most gasoline generators. Any 120v AC power source will work as long as it can supply 1500 watts of power.

There is a AC Output power button and status LED on the outside of the case so you can turn the AC power output ON & Off while the case is closed or open. A green LED means AC Power is supplied to the 120v AC Power Outlets on next to the ON/OFF button. If the battery power gets low the inverter will automatically turn the AC power output off. The solar/wind/hydro regulator will remain on and wait for renewable energy to be available to recharge the battery bank. Once the battery bank has been recharged you simply push AC ON/OFF button to turn the AC power output back on to power your equipment.

The system comes with a 50 ft solar panel cord so the panels can be placed up to 50ft away from the system in the most ideal location. Longer cord lengths are available upon request.

We have paired this system up with some 120w folding portable solar panels because they perform great and are priced reasonably. They panels also have built in tilting arms in the back that allow you to easily tilt the solar panels towards direct sunlight for maximum power harvest. Tilting the solar panels vs not tilting them can create a 200% increase in power output from the solar panels. 

The solar panels are made with 18% efficient mono-crystalline solar cells that have a long lifespan and great performance. These panels are mass produced and because of this the price per panel is as low as we can find for a nice portable solar panel kit. The panel has all the features you would want to get maximum power out of each panel like built in tilting arms to angle the panel towards direct sunlight. The panels fold up easily and have a nice handle which makes them easy to carry when you need to transport from location to location.

The solar panels have had eye hooks to all 4 corners of the bottom of the solar panel so you can secure the solar panels to the ground in windy locations. The tilting arms are held in place with Velcro so they do not flop around during transport. The solar panels have 75 Amp Anderson Power Pole connectors on the back for quick and easy solar panel connections.

The battery is a 180 Amp Hour LiFEPo4 12.8v battery pack that is designed to provide 2000 charge/discharge cycles when drained 100% on a consistent basis and 5000 charge and discharge cycles if you discharge the battery to 30% on a consistent basis.The less you discharge the battery consistently the longer the battery will last you. 5000 Cycles would last you 13 years if you discharged the battery every single day, and 26 years if you discharged the battery every other day. This means LFP batteries should last you a lifetime which is surly enough to get by a natural disaster that could possibly last a few years or longer.

The LiFePo4 / LFP / Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries provide superior performance when compared to the old Deep Cycle Lead Acid Batteries or AGM batteries because they are 60% lighter in weight which drastically reduces the weight of the LFP 180 Battery Modules. The LFP 180 battery module weighs 75 pounds as you see it pictured here. A comparable Deep Cycle battery of the same capacity weighs in at about 160 pounds for just the battery alone. The LFP 180 battery module can be moved and rolled around on its wheels easily by most average sized people. 

The next major advantage that LiFePo4 / LFP / Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries give you is superior life span or charge / discharge cycles when compared to the old Deep Cycle Lead Acid or AGM batteries. The LFP 180 Battery Module can provide up to 10 times longer lifespan or charge / discharge cycles compared to Deep Cycle Lead Acid or AGM batteries under most conditions. So if we drained the LFP 180 portable battery module from 100% full to 30% full the battery is rated to last 3000 cycles to be conservative. If we do the same thing with most Deep Cycle Lead Acid Batteries we only end up with 300 cycles before the battery is rated to need replaced most manufacturers. So the LFP 180 portable battery packs when drained down to 30% full consistently will outlast the same capacity Deep Cycle Lead Acid or AGM battery by 10 times or 1000% which is amazing. 

Another key benefit that LiFePo4 / LFP / Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries provide is that they actually provide 100-90% of their rated capacity when drained at high rates of current which is very nice when you compare it to how a comparable sized Deep Cycle Lead Acid Battery usually only provides around 60% of their rated capacity when drained at high rates which means the remaining 40% of stored power in the Deep Cycle battery just disappears and you do not get to use it. LFP batteries prove to be superior again in this respect. 

Another benefit of LiFePo4 / LFP / Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries is that they are made out of Non Toxic ingredients and will not ignite or explode if punctured or shot while in combat. Other types of lithium batteries can be very dangerous and explode under some circumstances.

And the last benefit of LiFePo4 / LFP / Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries is that the actual battery pack is smaller in size than a Deep Cycle Lead Acid / AGM battery which allows the case to be smaller and the overall size and weight of the system to be smaller.
